About CP Silver
C. P. Silver didn’t set out to write epic fantasy. For years she followed paths that seemed far more practical—ten years of practicing law, mastering French, even studying Chinese medicine. Yet through it all, one thing never let go: the quiet pull of story.
Born of Caribbean heritage and raised in the Cayman Islands, she grew up surrounded by the rhythms of island life before becoming a French national and settling in Europe. That mix of cultures, languages, and landscapes continues to shape the way she imagines worlds—layered, complex, and alive with hidden histories.
Her debut novel, Whispers of the Elixir, unfolds in a world where matriarchy is absolute—from the first breath of creation to the empress on the throne, right down to the smallest rhythms of family life—recasting questions of power, inheritance, and identity through an unapologetically female lens. In this matriarchal empire, wielding the wrong kind of magic could cost you your life. Praised for its evocative prose and lush worldbuilding, the book explores power, identity, and quiet defiance.
Silver has been writing since childhood, when she stapled together her first “book” about runaway rabbits. Over the years, stories continued, growing more intricate as her life did. She now writes full time, guided by a belief that “in every world—real or imagined—the stories we hold close shape who we become.”
When she’s not writing, you’ll find her walking forest trails, rereading beloved classics, or listening to audiobooks while exploring the countryside with her small dog. She draws inspiration from nature, language, and the quiet moments where imagination slips through.
